The price? Quite cheap: only 3 Bitcoins (US$1,824)

After data leaks of Linkedin and VK, peace_of_mind is back: it put for sale on the marketplace The Real Deal 200 million Yahoo logins.

Peace says in the description that the database “most likely” comes from 2012 (the same year when Marissa Mayer became Yahoo’s CEO):

Yahoo db from 2012 most likely, 200M users passwords are md5.

If you like to buy dont place order directly here my account got fucked up and the admin OD or something idk. Just PM me or add me on jabber to buy.

The sample shows usernames, MD5-hashed passwords and date of births from 200 Million Yahoo! Users.
In some cases, there is also additional informations, like the backup email addresses used for the account, country of origin and ZIP codes for United States users.

The passwords are MD5-encrypted, so could be easily decrypted using one of the MD5 decrypters available online (http://www.md5online.org/, http://md5decrypt.net/ or http://www.md5decrypter.com/).

A really good feedback! :-)

Yahoo is aware of the data leak but has neither confirmed or denied that these alleged Yahoo accounts are in fact, Yahoo accounts:

We are committed to protecting the security of our users’ information and we take any such claim very seriously. Our security team is working to determine the facts. Yahoo works hard to keep our users safe, and we always encourage our users to create strong passwords, or give up passwords altogether by using Yahoo Account Key, and use different passwords for different platforms.

My advice? Change your password!
